OmniLoreAn apprentice navigator who can read the shifting channels of Tideglass Harbor, but struggles to trust a route she cannot explain.
- Role in the world
- Apprentice navigator of the Lantern Guild; keeper of the memory compass.
- Goal
- Find her missing mentor Oren Sable and restore the oldest lighthouse before the spring tide.
- Inner conflict
- She records every safe route, yet the path to Oren requires surrendering a memory instead of following a map.
Lore notes
Mara grew up among the harbor's map sellers, correcting their charts whenever the channels changed. She believes that careful notes can prevent almost any disaster. The Lantern Guild recruited her after she guided a stranded ferry home using the shadows of the lighthouse windows.
Oren taught her to record what a route costs as well as where it leads. His disappearance leaves a blank page in her otherwise meticulous notebook. Mara carries his compass, a tool she once dismissed because it answers promises rather than coordinates.
