1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to OmniLore ("the Application", "the Service"), provided by Beteguella Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy transparently details how we handle user data across the OmniLore Android application and web platform available at https://omnilore.ink.

Protecting your privacy and respecting the confidentiality of your creative work is fundamental to our platform.

2. Data Collection & Types of Information

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide, secure, and operate the Service:

  • Account Information: When creating an account or signing in, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication tokens via Google Firebase Authentication.
  • User-Generated Content & Worldbuilding Data: Your stories, character sheets, lore documents, world notes, and writing files stored in your projects.
  • Subscription & Billing Records: For paid subscriptions, transactions are processed directly and securely through Stripe or Google Play In-App Billing. We do not store or process your full payment card details on our servers.
  • Technical, Device & Security Data: To authenticate sessions, protect accounts from abuse, and maintain service stability, we may process public IP address metadata, approximate general location (country/region level), device platform (e.g., Android, Web), app version, and diagnostic logs. Public IP addresses are encrypted at the application layer and stored separately from general product analytics.

3. Ownership of Creative Content

You retain 100% ownership and all intellectual property rights to your creative writing, stories, and lore.

OmniLore does not claim ownership of any content you create. You grant OmniLore only the limited operational license necessary to host, synchronize, and display your data back to you within the application.

4. AI Features, Analytics & Optional Research

  • No AI Training on Your Work: We do not use your private stories, documents, or worldbuilding content to train general AI foundation models.
  • On-Demand AI Requests: When you voluntarily invoke an AI-assisted feature (e.g., character brainstorming or text suggestions), only the prompt context you choose is transmitted via encrypted APIs to perform that specific request.
  • Product Analytics & Research: Telemetry, analytics, and research programs are strictly optional and off by default. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time in Account Settings without losing core application features.

5. How We Use Data

We use the collected information exclusively for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate your identity and synchronize your workspace across devices.
  • To safeguard against unauthorized access, malicious attacks, and platform abuse.
  • To process support requests, bug submissions, and customer inquiries.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations and financial transaction reporting.

6. Third-Party Service Providers & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or writing to data brokers or third parties.

We share data strictly with trusted service providers necessary for infrastructure and operations under confidentiality agreements:

  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform: Cloud hosting, database infrastructure (Cloud Firestore), user authentication, and encrypted asset storage.
  • Google Play Services & Google AdMob: Android distribution, app licensing, and ad delivery for free-tier users according to Google Play policies.
  • Stripe: Payment processing for web subscriptions.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account and project data remain active as long as you maintain your account.

Right to Deletion: You may request permanent deletion of your account and associated project data at any time:

  • In-App: Go to Account Settings → Danger Zone → Request Account Deletion.
  • Web Portal: Submit an unauthenticated deletion request through our public deletion portal at https://omnilore.ink/account-deletion.

Upon requesting deletion, a 30-day recovery window begins. During this period, you can log in to cancel the request. After 30 days, your account and project data are permanently and irreversibly purged from our primary databases, with the exception of narrow audit, fraud-prevention, or legal compliance records retained strictly as required by law.

8. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Database records are encrypted at rest, access is governed by strict principle-of-least-privilege permissions, and security events are monitored.

9. Children's Privacy

OmniLore is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can remove the information.
